"You know, I think your right." Said a voice behind her. Gray jumped, and span around, to see Fox, Creamy's brother, standing right beside her.
"You should take Dance with you. I mean it." Meowed Fox. Gray had nothing to say, but she was standing there with a blank face, so she just did something fast, and that might have been a huge mistake, for what she did was say, "Ok, I will.".
Then Fox picked up something from behind him. A fish! Gray almost yowled with delight.
"Here, you can have it." He said, dropping it at Gray's paws. "Thanks!" Then, Lake stepped in to the cave that Fox and Gray had been in. "Is that fish I smell?" She asked, then ran over to Gray and the fish. She took the fish out of Gray's mouth. "Yum!" Fox snarled. "I fished that FOR GRAY! Not you. Give it back. Star told me that your mean too Gray all the time. He told me everything." Lake dropped the fish. Gray's fur grew hot with embarrassment. Lake got up and left, without saying a word.
"Star, can we talk?" Asked Lake. "Nope." Said Star, but he got up anyway. The two of them got to a grassy area, alone. "Star, you know I was just joking around, with Gray. I knew all along that Gray is your sister." Meowed Lake. "Huh." Said Star. "I don't believe that, and never in one million years will. Sorry, Lake, but no. I hate you." Lake burst in to tears. "Why? We loved each other! We were going to have kittens! It was just a misunderstanding. I'm sorry, Ok? I'm sorry!" Yelled Lake. Star twitched his whiskers. "No, Lake. Just find another mate ok? I'm sorry about are love, but I can't. I just can't. Besides.." Star's voice trailed off. Lake stopped crying. "OK, then. If you don't want me here, with you and Gray. I'm going. Goodbye..For..Ever." Lake tired to yell, but it sounded just like the truth: She wanted to stay with Gray and Star, and this was breaking her heart that was already broken in the first place. "No, Lake. We'll do this tougher. Why can't we JUST be friends? " Lake stopped. "I..OK. But, if you promise that you will be nice to me, and not get mad?" "If you promise that you won't try to kill Gray."
