I'm not going to let this one go, she thought. She crept closer softly, making sure not to make a sound. Then, she jumped onto the squirrel, sinking her teeth into its flesh.
After she ate the kill, she licked her black paw, wondering what dierection she should go in next. Oriana knew that if she didn't hurry, the humans would find her and bring her back home. A stab of guilt washed over her. She knew she shouldn't have ran away from home. There was nothing wrong with the humans, and there wasn't anything wrong with being a house cat. But there was so much to do out here. So much to explore.
Could she really live off of a few squirrels now and then? They didn't exactly taste bad, but then didn't taste good either.
Suddenly, a loud yell came from behind her, jolting her out of her thoughts. "Oriana! She's there!" A human came racing towards her. It was one of the kittens. Its long brown hair flew behind it as it came running. Oriana began to run, pelting through the trees until the humans were tiny specks of black, getting smaller and smaller.
***
A loud bang woke up Dahlia. Startled, she looked up to see a human, holding a long, black stick - pointed at her. The human wasn't far from her; just a few rat-legnths. But Dahlia knew that humans meaned trouble, so she rose to her paws and pelted away through the forest.
After a while, the rat sat down, tired and lonely. Oh, Nikil, she thought, pained. Why did they have to take me away from you? Why? Dahlia knew that the humans had probably kicked out Nikil, too. If that was it, then maybe she could find her friend. Oh, don't be stupid! The world is bigger then you can ever imagine. I'm not going to find one rat in a giant world like this one!
Dahlia knew she had dozed off, because when she opened her eyes, she was curled in a moss bed and it was night time. She realized she was hungry and she hadn't eaten for days, but there had been no luck finding food. Yep. I'm not going to find any food out here in the big, wide forest, am I? Crossly, Dahlia crept out of her bedding in search of food.

***
Sage padded through the snow, troubled by his own thoughts. The soft feeling of the cold snow reminded him on home. It's my fault Lunar died, he told himself over and over again. The stupid humans had killed his mother by cutting down the tree. It had fallen on her while Sage was walking past, and she had yelled, pushing her cub out of the way. How could I have been so careless? I should have known that the humans were cutting down the tree.
Sage ducked his head when a branch almost poked him in the eye. "I'm so caught up in my thoughts, I don't even look where I'm going!" he growled to himself, padding on.
His family was gone, and it was all his fault. He had to have someone take care of him, otherwise he was going to die. A lynx shouldn't be left on his own.
After hours of walking, the sun began to rise. Sage couldn't walk any long. He fell to the snowy ground and rolled around in it for a few minutes, before drifting off into deep sleep. At least I can dream about you, Lunar.

.:Chapter two:.
Oriana's paws were tired, and she knew they couldn't carry her any longer. She lay down, exhusted. She had ran all the way from her old den to Blueberry lake. Oriana licked her black pelt clean before walking to the lake. She dipped her head down and began lapping at it.
The water tasted dirty and salty, but it was better then nothing. This was a nice place to stay: It had a lake for drinking from, bushes with little, round balls on them, and a few trees around the lake to climb up and moss to sleep in.
Maybe squirrels and mice came here, also, to drink the water. It was such a nice place, they had to decide to travel here.
Oriana searched for prey, but it was no use. There wasn't a squirrel in sight. Oriana eyed the bushes with the balls on them. Slowly, she walked over to them and sniffed. Curious, she pawed a single ball off and chewed it. It was juicey and sour at the same time. Oriana decided that if she had to live off of these, she would.
She began picked off every single ball off of every single bush, but it didn't fill her, and she didn't know when they would grow back. At least she had saved one for later. Oriana pawed at it and pinned it to the ground.
Just then, something stepped on Oriana's tail. She span around, and almost toppled over. There stood a orange, fluffy animal with a long snout, white underbelly, and black paws. Oriana was too scared to move.
Then, to her surprise, the animal spoke in cat. "D-do you know where any f-food is?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with terror. Oriana slowly nodded. She picked up the ball with her paw and gave it to the animal. "Here," Oriana mewed. "Have it. It's all I've got." She watched the aniaml eat the ball.
Then it turned back to her and spoke again. "Th-thank you," he rasped. "Wha-what's your name?" Oriana knew she must be dreaming. "I'm Oriana," she replied. If this was a dream, then the animal wouldn't hurt her. "I'm Ulrick. Nice to meet you. Oriana, I have to repay you for that blueberry," the animal said. Oriana shook her head. "No, it was only a- wait, what did you say it was? A blueberry?" Ulrick nodded. "Why else would this place be called blueberry lake? It has blueberries in here."
Oriana shivered. "Well, I have to go now," she announced. "Wait!" called Ulrick. "Isn't there anything you want?" he pleaded. Oriana thought for a moment. "Anything in the world?" Ulrick licked his paw. "What is it, then?" he murmured. "I want a squirrel. But you don't have to bring me one becau-" Oriana was cut off by Ulrick's yelp of joy. "I can bring you one! Easy!" he raced off into the trees.
Oriana rolled her eyes. If they are so easy to catch, she thought to herself. then why didn't you just catch one instead of crying to me about hunger?
.:Chapter three:.
Sage padded through the snowy forest. A piece of prey would be nice, he grumped to himself. It had been days now since Lunar had died, and he hadn't eaten a single thing. He longed to cuddle with his mother again. And Lunar had been the best hunter ever. She could always catch the most juiciest, mouth-watering, prey, and she wouldn't mind sharing it with him.
But Sage had to be strong, he knew. He had to catch his own prey. He was alone, now, with nobody to take care of him but himself. He padded on through the cold, soft snow, and he thought he would survive for a moment. Then the sky began to cloud up, and the air got colder and colder, and a snow storm started.
I have to get somewhere to rest. Somewhere to shelter. Finally, Sage came up to a human den that was made of large sticks. Sage padded up to it and clawed at the door. After much waiting and yowling and clawing, the door swung open. There stood a tall human female, staring at him in horror. It shouted something, but not anything Sage could understand. She kicked him, but Sage wasn't about to give up. He slashed his claws through the human's leg. She screamed and slamed the door.
Sage was still for only a moment. He needed to get inside that warm den that the human's had. He could see inside a window. There was three humans sitting around a fire, and the one who he had attacked was there, saying something to them with big, terrified eyes.
Sage scratched at the door some more, but it was useless. After hours of whining and scratching, he finally walked away, back into the blizzard.

.:Chapter four:.
Dahlia knew the chances of finding food wouldn't be big. She had walked so long without finding anything. Once, she had came across a dog, which she had luckily gotten away from with only a scratch going down her flank. It was still bleeding now, but it wasn't as worse. Soon, Dahlia came to a big pool of water. There were trees and bushes around it, but the bushes didn't have any berries on them.
Dahlia lay down and began licking her wounds. She looked up to see a fox creeping towards her. It looked at her, then pounced before she could move. The fox pinned her down. "NO! LET ME GO!" Dahlia shouted, trying to get free by wriggling. The fox was surprised she could speak. It was so surprised that it fled away through the trees. Dahlia was safe.
Just then, another creature came trotting up to her, muttering, "Where is that furball? He was supposed to catch me prey!" Her eyes caught with Dahlia's. "What do we have here?" she mewed, padding closer. Dahlia squealed and got on her paws, but a giant black paw held her down. "Now, now," she murmured. "Don't be shy." Dahlia whimpered. "This is the end!" she screamed.
The creature didn't seem surprised. "So, you can talk too?" she asked, still holding Dahlia down with her paw. Dahlia spoke. "Let me go. I have to live to find Nikil." The creature winced. "Is that so? And who is this Nikil?" "My.. My mother. We used to live together in a house, but then the humans kicked us out, and I've been living on my own since then, and-" The creature growled and took her paw back. Dahlia stared at her. "You're not going to eat me?" she said smallily. "No, but you can repay the favor of leaving me alone!" The animal stalked off. "But wait!" Dahlia got up and followed her. "What's your name?" she asked.
"What? Why would you care what my name is? It's Oriana." Dahlia chittered her teeth together. "Mine's Dahlia. I'm a rat," she said happily. "Great," Oriana grunted. "I'm a cat. And you can leave me alone," she said again. Oriana started walking again. "Wait! Oriana, come over here. I want to show you something. It will only take a few hours to get there and-" Oriana cut in again. "I am not going anywhere with you. And if you keep bothering me I'll claw your pelt off!" Dahlia wasn't about to give up. "It will be amazing," she begged. "Come on. I think you'll like it. It's called 'snow.' Come with me, please!" Oriana sighed. "Fine, but only because I don't have anywhere else to go."
Dahlia let out a small cry of joy and turned away, leading her to the path that lead them to the snowy, wonderful place Dahlia had heard of.
.:Chapter five:.
Oriana followed the rat for a few miles. Each kept very quiet. "You, know," Oriana growled at one point. "I'm not following you forever. Right when we get to wherever you want to show me, I'm leaving you and you'll be on you're own. You got that?" Dahlia spun her head around. "Sure," she replied happily.
The two finally arrived at a very large, snow filled place called White Village. "What is this stuff?" asked Oriana, scooping up some snow with her paw. She watched as it slowly began to melt. It was cold and strange looking. Dahlia was shivering. "It's called snow."
The two padded on for a while. They were struck by a blizzard storm, and Dahlia became so cold and wet it made Oriana almost sad for the rat.
When the storm ended, they hadn't traveled very far because Dahlia kept stopping and staring ahead. It had annoyed Oriana much. Suddenly, the bushes rustled, and out jumped a animal Oriana had heard of before. It was called a lynx. The lnyx pounced on Dahlia, digging it's claws into the rat. Oriana's fur stood on end as she bared her teeth at it, hissing. She swiped her paw out at the lynx, trying to protect Dahlia. Dahlia squeaked and panicked, trying to get free.
The lynx growled and leaned down, about to bite Dahlia's neck. "NO!" shouted Oriana, although she knew the lynx wouldn't understand her. The lynx looked back at her, it's muzzle covered with blood. It's eyes were surprised by furious.
The lynx got off of Dahlia. She lay there, unmoving. "You killed her!" Oriana screamed. The lynx stood there, glaring at her. Oriana went on. "She wanted to show me something, and now you've killed her. She'll never be able to show me whatever it was now, because you killed her!" The lynx blinked. "I didn't kill her," it said calmly. Oriana wasn't surprised that the lynx could talk.
Just then, Dahlia rose to her paws. Oriana almost ran over to her. "Why did you pretend to die?" she hissed at Dahlia. Dahlia opened her mouth to say something, but then she was cut off by the lynx. "Well, I'm out of here," it said, and turned around. "Wait!" called Dahlia. The lynx turned. "Well.. I.. I kind of wanted.. The prophecy said.. Nikil.. I.." stammered Dahlia. "Well, spit it out already," growled Oriana. Dahlia cleared her throat and said, "I think we should all travel together."
There was a long moment of silnce. Then the lynx said, "Are you crazy? Are you saying that a lynx, a house cat, and a rat should travel together?" There was another moment of silnce. "Well.. yes," Dahlia said finally. Oriana dug her claws into the ground. "You said that you just wanted to show me something. I'm not traveling with you, wether you like it or not, Dahlia!" The little brown rat looked hurt, but she said nothing. Only looked at Oriana with misery. "Okay," agreed the lynx. Oriana turned and stared at it.
Dahlia used her purr; it wasn't exactly like a cat purr, but it was close, and she seemed to do it when she was happy. "Yay! I'm Dahlia, what's your name?" she asked, still purring. The lynx stepped forward. "Sage. I'm sorry I tried to kill you." Suddenly, Oriana realized something. The lynx - Sage - Probably is only pretending to be nice! Then he's going to eat Dahlia and she won't know about that. "It's okay...I guess.." said Dahlia with a giggle. "Well, we must be off. I'm trying to find my mother, Nikil. What is your adventure about?" she asked, turned around. Sage shot a unreadable look at Oriana before turning and trotting after her. "I'm looking for prey." "WAIT!" screamed Oriana. They both stopped. "I'll come with you," she rasped. "I..I will, Dahlia! I will!"
She followed them and they all set off again. "What's your name, anyway?" Sage asked her finally. "Oriana," she murmured. And then, more quietly, she added, "And you'd better watch it. If you set one paw on Dahlia, I'll eat you."
.:Chapter six:.
Sage and the others walked for miles. Oriana and him had good, long chats with each other. Thay talked about themselves while Dahlia lead the way, keeping quiet. "Well, I don't like humans," Sage began. "They cut down a tree and it fell on Lunar. Careless creatures!" Oriana had been surprised at this. "I used to live with them. I ran away because I wanted to explore the world, and I miss them a lot," she said. "Why would you want to explore when you could stay in one place and have your own territory?" Sage huffed. That was what he had always wanted: A large, comfy place he could call home. He could hunt prey and sleep whenever he wanted and scare off anybody else who tried to steal the territory.
"Well," Oriana began, but Dahlia cut her off. "Look!" she squealed with excitement. She pointed her paw to in front of them. A tall pine tree was standing in their way. Sage blinked. "What? It's a tree," he growled, annoyed. "No, look," Dahlia said again. Sage winced at the tree, and saw that it was craved into the shape of a rat. Dahlia ran up to it and stood on her hind paws and touched the bark with one paw. Oriana and Sage exchanged a glance and followed her.
"It means," Dahlia began. "That we have to go that way." She pointed her tail towards the way that the craved rat was going, which was left. Sage rolled his eyes. "What are you talking about? It's just a tree. It doesn't mean we have to go left." Oriana growled at him. "Just go with it," she muttered before turning her back on him. Sage sighed and followed her, and Dahlia shrugged and took the lead again. I don't understand, he thought. Five seconds ago, Oriana liked me. Now she doesn't!
.:Chapter seven:.
Dahlia loved leading the group while the others talked. They had walked all day long, and it seemed like Oriana and Sage were the best of friends. Now, the sun was going down and they needed to rest, and Dahlia knew Sage would start complaining that it was cold if she didn't find somewhere soon.
Finally, after a few hours of traveling, Dahlia found a place that had tall trees surounded by it. There was a small lake and moss bedding. The three walked over to it and they setteled down for the night.
Dahlia nudged Sage when she saw him closing his eyes. He opened them and growled. "What do you want?" Dahlia took a step back. "I just wanted to talk to you." Sage lay there for a moment, then got up and padded to the pond with her. "Well?" he said, sitting down. Dahlia looked up at him. "Uhm, Sage," she started. "There's..signs that I've been seeing that helps me along the way. I mean.. There was this prophecy. It says, 'Three will be drawn together, and they must work together to journey to The Great Dawn Of Time.' A lynx told me that, in my dreams. And we-us three-were drawn together! Sage, I think this journey was meant to happen."
Sage snorted. "It was a dream, Dahlia," he huffed. "But I'll come with you anyway to this 'Dawn of lime' or whatever, just to survive." Dahlia blinked at him. "Thanks. And it's The Dawn of time," she muttered, but Sage had already gone off.
Dahlia wondered if she had been wrong to trust the lynx. After all, it was only a dream. With a shudder, Dahlia caught up to her new friends and settled down for the night.
.:Chapter eight:.
Oriana nudged Sage to wake him up. "Go away," Sage growled, putting his paw over his face. "Come on," Oriana said, annoyed. "I didn't get any sleep last night, thanks to her," Sage retrotted, pointing his stubby tail at Dahlia. Oriana sighed and flicked her tail. "Sleep here and we'll go on without you," she meowed. "All right, all right," growled Sage, standing up.
The three began walking again. Sage was perfectly fine in the cold, but Oriana was worried about Dahlia. She was shivering all the time, and there wasn't much food out here on the ice and snow that she could eat. Sage could sometimes catch something, maybe a artic hare, but Dahlia chose not to eat it. "That's her fault," Sage had said once. Oriana had rolled her eyes. They needed to get out of there, and he knew it.
But the other thing that was wrong about the journey was Oriana didn't get along with Sage. He was grumpy all the time, huffing and growling and hissing. And the thing was, was Sage seemed to think that they were friends.
"Look, we have to cross that river," Dahlia said, jolting Oriana out of her thoughts. She looked up and saw a river, and realized for the first time that they had gotten out of the snow. Instead under her feet, was brown stuff called 'dirt,' and there wasn't any snow at all. A river up ahead was in their path. "No," Sage said, surprising Oriana. "We're not swimming, and that's that." Oriana turned to him, bristling. "Look, Sage, is there any other way to get across?" Sage nodded upstream. "Maybe there's a fallen tree up ahead." "And maybe there's not," Oriana growled. "How would you know?" barked Sage. "Stop it!" Dahlia squeaked.
"Sage," she went on. "we'll help you to swim. Oriana knows how. But we have to go this way." Sage snorted. "Why? Why not another way?" Dahlia nodded her head across the stream. Over there, there was nothing but trees and grass. Oriana blinked. "Don't you see? There's bound to be prey over there," Dahlia said. Oriana was starting to like the idea. "Yeah, and we could rest for the night," she put in. Sage growled. "Fine," he said before trotting over to the river. He put his paw in and yanked it back. Oriana shook her head and sighed.
She scrambled over to Sage and peered into the water. She knew it would be cold, wet, and horrible, but she was the one who had said it was a good idea. Besides, it wasn't going to be the end of the world. Oriana took a deep breath and took a step back before screaming, "LOOK OUT FISHIES!!" She plunged into the water, and felt the icy cold waves hit her shoulders.
Gagging, Oriana swam on. Sage splashed into the water. Five seconds later, Oriana heard cries for help and Sage screaming and kicking. She flipped around and saw Sage sinking underwater helplessly. She couldn't see Dahlia anywhere; she hadn't even seen her get into the water.
Sage disappeared from view, and Oriana swam closer to him. She dunked her head down and grabbed onto Sage's scruff, pulling him back up. He gasped for breath. "I thought I was going to drown!" he gagged. "Thanks to me, you didn't." Oriana rolled her eyes. She turned away, but she heard splashing and coughing again. "HELP!" screamed Sage. She turned around. A dark figure was slowly drowning, down, down, down. . .
"No!" Oriana cried. She lunged down and tried to get closer to the lynx, but no matter how farther down she swam, he always got smaller. But Oriana couldn't just let him drown to death! She swam farther down into the river. Suddenly her paws hit something wet and gooy, and she realized she was at the bottom of the river.
She tried to gasp for breathe, but she only swallowed water. Oriana spotted Sage close by, lying limp. She grabbed him and began going up, but she was almost out of breath, and she was worried she would just die there. Suddenly, darkness swallowed her...

Oriana woke up with a startling cough. She was surrounded by trees. Sage lie next to her, nomming happily on his paw, trying to get the dirt out of it. "Are you crazy?!" she yelled at him. He looked up. "You almost got me killed! You almost got us both killed! Lynxes are supposed to be able to swim. And you can't! Are you a lynx or a hippo?" Oriana growled. "What's a hippo?" asked Sage, confused. "Oh, never mind! Why don't you make yourself usefull and go get me something to eat?" Sage sighed and got to his paws, stalking off.
.:Chapter nine:.
Sage crept closer to the sparrow. He stepped on a twig and the sparrow turned it's gaze to him, and with a scream, it took off into the air. Annoyance bubbling, Sage jumped to his paws and ran after the bird. He leaped through the air, sinking his claws through the bird. He flew to the ground with the bird and killed it with a swift bite to it's neck.
Proud of the catch, Sage padded back to Oriana with the sparrow in mouth. The bushes next to him rustled. Sage paused, glancing around. Then, a female lynx jumped out at him. She knocked him over, and he dropped the sparrow. The lynx picked it up and started to pad away. "That's mine! Stealer!" cried Sage. He lunged at the lynx, claws out. He pinned her down easily. Sage growled at the lynx, who was trying to scramble out of his grip. "Why are you here?" he snarled at her. "Why not?" replied the lynx, sounding brave.
"Because," growled Sage. "You stole my prey!" "No, I didn't. I was going to give it back." They both looked over at the tiny sparrow lying on the ground. "Whatever," Sage hissed and got off of the lynx. He grabbed the sparrow and carried it away, off to Oriana. He spotted the cat licking her paw next to a pool of water. "I got you your sparrow," he said, dropping the catch in front of Oriana. "And when did I say I wanted one?" Oriana's tone was sharp. "But you said-" Sage started. The lynx jumped out from the bushes, and for the first time, he saw that it must be starving. He could see it's ribs!
He tossed the sparrow to her. "You take it, if Oriana doesn't want it." He shot a furious glare at her, but she just continued to wash her paw. The lynx bent down without replying and took a huge bite out of the sparrow. He had never seen anyone that hungry looking. A wave of guilt washed over him. A sharp voice made him jump. "Where is Dahlia?! I haven't seen her since we got out of the river! Where is she? We have to find her! She's not gonna be safe! We have to-" "Oriana, calm down!" Sage interrupted. Why is she so worried about Dahlia anyway? "You can just swim back to the other side and look for her," he said, not worried at all.
"But it's not like her to just disappear like that!" Sage could hear the annoyance and fear in her voice. "You hardly know her! I hardly know you! We've been traveling together for two sunrises, it's not like we're best friends forever," Sage growled. Oriana blinked. She turned and stalked over to the river without another word.
Once she was out of earshot, Sage turned to the lynx. "Sorry," he said. "She gets irritating." The lynx sat up. "You seem like you're irritating yourself." "I am not!" Sage growled in protest. The lynx twitched her ear. "So, what's your name? I'm Lari." Sage nodded. "I'm Sage. I came from White Village, but I traveled with my..." Sage trailed off. Weird travelmates? "With your friends... And?" Lari pressed. "And oh, uh.." Sage didn't want to talk about Dahlia's prophecies. Lari would think they were crazy. "And we decided to rest here," he finished.
"Hmm. Well, thank you so much for the meal. And.. Sorry I tried to steal it." Lari yawned and rose to her paws. They were wobbly and she was weak. Sage didn't want Lari to risk traveling again when she was so weak. "Why don't you stay with us?" Sage said quickly. Lari looked surprised but relived. "Uhh, okay," she said. She sat back down. What have I done now? She's just another annoying animal to get in your way!
.:Chapter ten:.
Dahlia watched Oriana swimming in the water. Sage put his paw in, grumbled to himself about something about the cold, and got in. Dahlia was a rat; she could swim if she wanted to. She dabbed her paw in, and yanked it out quickly. It was so cold! She gave a lick to her cinnamon brown pelt. Don't be a scardy rat. You can do this. Dahlia heard faint yowls for help, but she was too much concentrated with the water to care. She took a deep breath. Just jump in! yowled a voice inside her. Her heart pounded and she jumped into the water. It was so cold that Dahlia thought she was going to freeze to death.
A wave came tumbling over to her, and washed over her head. Panic surged through Dahlia, and she popped her head back up, gasping for breath. She spotted Sage and Oriana struggling to not drown. "Sage!" called Dahlia, but another wave swallowed her. This time, she couldn't find her way back up. "Hmlgp!" she screamed, trying to say: "Help!"
Dahlia was in so much panic that she couldn't swim.

More coming soon!

Kiki's world (Chapter two)

Kiki took in a deep breath and said, "Proof to me it's real." Whistle nodded and then swiped a huge jet black paw at Kiki, claws out, on Kiki's forehead. "Ow! That hurt," Mewed Kiki lightly. Whistle rolled her blue eyes. "W-why do you say I'm y-you? W-what do y-y-you mean?" Kiki said, tripping over all her words. Whistle sighed. "When you go to sleep, in your dreams, it'll be like your dead, because I'll be living MY life. I'll look for that stupid gem, find it, and brake it, and become the most powerful wolf in the world! And anyway, in my life, when the sun sets, you'll go back to your life, sadly," Said Whistle. "Wait, but what is the gem?" Kiki asked. "Fool. I have to go. Find out yourself." The wolf seemed to fade in to the night, and before Kiki could guess what was happening, she woke up.

"Kiki! Wake up! You've been sleeping all day long!" Mewed a voice that belonged to her sister, Jane. Kiki was hiding her face in her paws. "Fine," muttered Kiki, getting up out of her mossy bed. "Kiki! Your face! It's all bloody! What happened?!" Asked the shocked Jane. Fear rose up in Kiki's fur. What if it WAS real? What if she WAS a wolf? She had to talk to Blind. Without responding, Kiki whirled around and over to Blind's den. When she got there, the old she-cat was sitting by the wooden table that Snow, Blind's sister, had helped her to make. It had herbs and heeling things, which I'll explain later. Anyway, Kiki raced in to the den, scaring Blind, but didn't care. "I have to tell you something! I went to sleep, and I was just running around in the forest, till a wolf came, and said that I was her, and that from-" Kiki started fast, until she stopped and looked at Blind's face. She sighed, and restarted. When she was done explaining, the old she-cat nodded. "It's real, alright. But, tell everyone," Blind said. Kiki didn't understand. "But-" "If you don't tell anyone, they will get annoyed. And go from annoyed to mad, and mad to angry." Blind said simply.

~Wolf Light

Kiki's world (Chapter one)

Deep in the woods of Cats-in-bird, lived a cat who was unaware of her life. Her name was Kikki. She had black, gray, and white fur, amber eyes. She had no idea she was half-wolf. She was a alone. Not with her friends, not with her family. They had all ditched her when she was young. But to start of this tale, let's start off when she WAS young.

Kiki kicked her sister. Her sister bit at her leg. "GRILS! Stop that right now!" Said they mother. Kiki couldn't help but to take that as yelling. "Why are you always yelling at us?!" Kiki hissed at her, walking away. She felt the stares of her litter-mates burning on her, but she kept going anyway. When Kiki had gotten away from the gazes, she sighed and lied down. Licking herself warm, she fell asleep.

Kiki loved to run in her dreams. The woods at her paws, the wind in her face, it felt so real. So that was what Kiki did. And even if she could not walk so well in real life, she could in her dreams. And it made her feel better. Suddenly, Kiki heard paw steps coming towards her. She stopped dead. Wolf! A whole pack! Kiki knew it was just a dream, but what if she just thought so? What if this was real life? It had seemed so real, it could be possible. When she stopped thinking, she realized the a wolf was standing right next to her. They were face to face; Kiki could smell its breath. She stood as still as she could, until, she yelled, "I can't take it anymore! Get away from me!" She flipped around, about to make a run for it, even if her mother had told her not to ever run from a wolf; just to back slowly away from it. Kiki had asked why, and her mother had sighed and said, "One time, I had came to a wolf. I was really young. I got so sacred, so I ran. And you know what he did? He clawed me with his huge right paw, and pulled me right back to him. I could have gotten killed if it weren't for your father." Then she showed them a huge scar on her belly.

Kiki felt herself being pulled back, just like her mother had said would happen. "Kiki." The wolf groaned. "H-how d-do you k-know my n-n-name?" Kiki whispered. "Stupid cat. I can't even believe I'm you. My name is Whistle. When you go to sleep, you'll become me, which means I can take over the world and find the gem. In my world, when it's sunset, you will become yourself again, till you sleep." The wolf barked as if she were to understand every word it spoke. Well, she didn't. "W-hat?" Kiki mewed. There was awkward quietness for a few minutes. "Your me." The voice made Kiki jump. "This is real. It's not a dream. Not a nightmare, little one."

~Wolf Light

Dancing meadows (Chapter four)

Gray gasped as a Calysta ran on, and Star ran after her. "Star, no! Don't go! STAR!" Dance shivered, watching Star go in to the town, and as Gray ran after to, followed by Fox. "Fox, no!" She shouted, running after them as well. A big, no, huge round black ball came racing towards her. Screaming, she broke off away from the others. "Gray, stay with-" Fox started but didn't finish. It was too late. She was already off, and running with the black ball at her feet. Mean while, Calysta was running enjoying the breeze that ruffled her fur. She jumped as a rain drop hit her fur. She then heard voices behind her, yelling her name. They were far in the distends, but she could hear them all right. "I guess I should get back to them," She murmured to herself. Then she saw up ahead a human that she had known in the past, before the falling towards began. Excitedly, she ran over to the women. Calysta let out a long meow when she was up next to her. The lady turned around. "Beat it, cat!" She yelled, kicking Calysta away. Then she kept on walking. She hissed, racing towards a lake, where she glanced behind her, and jumped in. The water was cold and muddy, and she hated it, but she forced herself to stay in. She heard paw steps outside. "She's in there," She heard a cat meow. "Then we'll dive in and get her." Growled another. Fear shook the cats fur, as she dove deeper in to the water, hating it. Suddenly she was out of breath, and she saw a huge brown tom splash in to the water after her. Panicking, she swam to the top of the water, where she then hit the top, gulped some air, and felid for the rocks climbing the water, and returning to land. Before she even touched the rocks, something grasped her by her hind leg. It sunk in to her fur, breaking the skin and spilling blood. She scrambled up the rocks, digging her claws hard in to them as she went. Her paws wet and slippery, her tongue filled with water, she ran to the muddy side of the rocks. She could hear the other cats at her tail. "Stop!" She screamed, picking up speed. One of them lunched himself on her, and she couldn't get away. "Tell me your name," He sneered. "And just why would I?" She groaned back at him, trying to sound strong. But inside her, she was gasping, trying to get away as fast as she could, and never ever have to face them again. "I want to know, that's why." The tom replied. "My name is Brooke, now can you just go away?!" She blurted out. "Well, Brooke, my name is Ice, and over there is my mate, Fire." The tom on her said. "Why are you TELLING her that?!" Fire yelled from behind.

~Wolf Light

Dancing meadows (Chapter three)

"It's so cold!" Complained Dance, setting her paw on a lake that had turned to ice. "How are we going to get the fish now?" Said Gray, peering at the ice. "We wait. We'll find something else to eat. And before you know it, it will be spring again." Star mewed cheerfully. "Whatever. Let's just get going. I think these kits are going to be coming pretty soon. I want shelter." Gray growled. Fox narrowed his eyes. "You mean kittens. Not kits." He meowed. "They're the same thing. Kit is short for kitten. Don't you get it?" Gray meowed angrily. "I was just joking, I knew what you meant." There was hurt in Fox's voice. "I..I'm sorry, I didn't mean too-" Started Gray but then was interrupted by Fox. "It's ok. I just wanted to cheer you up, so I guess I was being annoying. I'm sorry." Gray went over and licked Fox's fur. "Let's just get out of this-" Gray started but broke off at what she saw. "It..It's ruined." She whispered. She was standing in front of her old home; but now it was a big mess. The whole town was a mess, even the people. The buildings had been knocked down, leaving big piles of wood.
Gray walked in the heavy snow, glancing at the broken town. I just want to get out of here. Thought Gray. Then, a small mew made Gray jump. She looked around wildly, and then saw a orange white and black cat with a orange lily in her ear, and some weird type of cloth on her paw that was blue. A piece of wood had fallen on her, and she was crying for help. The four cats rushed over to help her. Gray and Fox worked together, gripping the piece of wood in their jaws, while Star and Dance did the same on the other side. The wood slipped off of the cat, and she was free. "Thank you so much! I'm Calysta. Pleased to met you guys." "I'm Star, this is my little sister Gray, her mate Fox, and the kitten's name is Dance." Star meowed carefully. "I'm not a kitten!" Protested Dance in her most adult voice. Star rolled his eyes but said nothing. Calysta drew in her breath. "You guys live here too?" She asked. Gray nodded, Star said no, Fox said no too, and Dance screamed yes. Calysta stared at them. "We uh, we used to live here, but the humans wreaked the home, so we left. We started down that way," Said Star, flicking his tail towards the way they had came, "and then we found no good home so we're going to go the other way." Finished Star. Calysta nodded as if she understood every word Star spoke. "Well, can I come with you guys?" Calysta asked in a tone that said she was not going to be ok if she did not come. Star was surprised she would ask that, but he would like her company, and he couldn't just let her stay here and die, so he said, "Sure, why not?" "But, wait, I have to get something." She ran back towards the town. "Calysta, wait!" Shouted Star, as he watched her disappear in to the field of dropping towers.

~wolf Light

Ummmumummumumu.Don't have a title yet.

A splash of water hit Calsta's ginger and white fur. She hissed at it, hitting it with her paw. "It won't help," I mewed, for I knew about water. "Stop acting all wise and old!" Calsta spat at me. Now, I hadn't been tiring to make her upset, but I couldn't help it. I knew that it wouldn't do anything, and she looked stupid getting mad at water. Plus, she is my sister, and some other cats were watching. "I'm not acting old and wise. I'm just tiring to tell you that the water doesn't speak cat." I mewed, with Calsta not looking one bit amused, but my best friend, Moss, was the only one that laughed. "You're so funny, Cinder." She mewed. I hate being called Cinder, my real name. "Shut up!" I yelled, every cat staring at me. I would have left, but nowhere to go. I might not have gotten to the part where there is a big cage around the beach, and us. Soon the water would be in the cage, and the cats would drown, unless they got out, somehow.

~Wolf Light

Dancing meadows (Chapter two)

This book is called Dancing meadows (Second book of Rain Dance)

Once the two cats had gone back to the den to sleep, the snow had started up again. "Think it will stick this time?" Asked Dance. "Most likely, yes." Meowed Gray, who was sitting beside her. All the rest of the cats were asleep. "Cool. I've never seen snow before. Just my sister." Gray purred. Then, she stopped. "That's it! Dance! Did you tell Snow that I was in love with a orange tabby tom?" She blurted out. "Huh? Yes. I did. Why?" Gray jumped with happiness. "Then you saved are lives, not Lake!" She mewed. "What?! No, Lake did! You're not supposed to know about any of this! You're not supposed to know!!" Yelled Dance, waking up the other cats. "What's going on?" Meowed Star sleepily. Gray was standing next to a young, about 20 week old cat, who was hissing fiercely. Fox tried to make out who it was, but he was still sleepily, and dark, so he couldn't. A few seconds later, Fox could just make out who it was. Dance. "What is going on? Gray, Dance, come here. I want to talk to you two." Star said. "NO!" Yelled Dance, then took off running in out in to the snow. Everyone stared at Gray. Creamy blinked, as if she couldn't believe what had just happened. Then, surprisingly, she jumped out and on to Gray. "What did you do to her!?" Creamy screamed.
"Stop! Get off her!" Cried Fox, getting up out of his bed of moss. "Fine! I'm getting off." Creamy meowed, getting off of Gray. "Look, it's about the perfect time to leave. If we wait till morning, then all the snow will have stuck." Said Star, licking his paw. "But then it might have melt too," Gray argued. "I don't think so. It will keep on snowing." Star replied, as if what he had said was true. "Well, ok, mister I-know-the-whether-that-hasn't-even-came-yet." Spat Gray, scowling. Before Star had a chance to smooth things out, Gray flicked her tail and stomped out of the cave.

Star let out a long sigh. "So it's not just me," Muttered Fox, stepping on a stick. "We had better get a move on, catch up with her. Good-bye, Creamy, Snow, Chocolate, and Shadow. We'll take good care of your kitten, Creamy. Thank you so much for letting us stay here." Creamy nodded, and Fox and her said bye, and then the cats were off.

~Wolf Light

Hey everyone!

I don't know what I will call the second book for Rain Dance, but I can't wait to post it. So here is the first chapter.

Gray leaned on Fox's mussel. Her pads were sore, she was tired, and hungry. "Star, I think Gray needs a rest. Can we stop here?" Fox asked, detecting that Gray did need a rest. She loved that about him. "Huh? Oh, sure. You guys rest, and me and Dance will go and get some fish." Star meowed, turning to go to a river nearby. When they had gone, Fox asked, "When are we going to tell them?" Gray sighed. "I don't know. Tell them when they get back if you want. I still think we should wait a little longer." Fox rolled his eyes. Then, Dance and Star returned, each carrying two fish in their jaws. Star gave one to Fox, and Dance gave one to Gray. When the cats had settled down to eat, Fox blurted out, "We have some news! Gray's having kittens!" Fox normally chose the wrong time to say things. "I'm happy to hear that." Purred Star. "Yay!" Said Dance. Gray nibbled at her fish. "When are we going to get to Creamy's home?" She asked, eager to change the subject. "Soon. I can't believe that we have been traveling for weeks. I think at first we took the wrong way." Said Star. Fox looked as if he wanted to say something more about the kittens, but he glanced at Gray and she shook her head no.

Star felt the cold snow of winter coming down on to his fur. He shook it off with a cold shake. "It's so c-cold." Said Dance, shivering. "It's ok, we'll be there soon. And we are lucky it's not sticking to the ground." Meowed Star. Gray looked around. There was Creamy! Gray ran over to the cream colored she-cat. "Creamy! Hi!" Gray meowed happily. Fox and Dance came running too, and Star was right behind them. "Mother!" Shouted Dance. The two of them licked each other. "Come on guys, let's go and get in to my shelter that Snow made. It's nice and warm in there." Star nodded and the cats dashed off, Fox, Dance, and Gray at his heals. When the cats had gotten to the shelter, Fox saw a cat that Gray hadn't met before. "Chocolate! Is that really you?" Fox meowed to him. A brown tabby tom came out. "Hey Fox. Nice to see you. I heard you were in love with a tabby gray cat, is that right?" Gray gulped. What was going on? "Um, I guess.." Meowed Fox awkwardly. "Hey, uh, Fox, sorry to pull you away, but can we talk alone?" Gray asked. Fox nodded, and Gray pulled him out of the cave. "What is going on?! Are love was secret. How did Snow know, and how did that..Chocolate?...how did he know?" Gray hissed. "I don't know, but it's very weird." Fox mewed. "Well, duh!" Hissed Gray, spinning around and stomping away. "I don't know what gotten in to her lately," Fox muttered to himself.

Star licked once more at Gray's fur. "There. You look good. You know, you really didn't have to get all dolled up to go and talk to Fox." Purred Star. "Yes I did. It's like a..I don't know what it's called..You know when we lived with humans, and that lady Kate liked that guy Jon, and then before going out with Jon, she would get all pretty? Well, one time I went with her secretly, and then they talked about stuff, and then kissed. Yuck. At least cats kissing is just licking each others noses." Meowed Gray.

Fox had been waiting for Gray to come. He had gotten a fish for both of them, some moss full of fresh water, and he had found some catnip for a present for Gray. Gray came running, and she looked really...good. "Hi. I got us some dinner. Fish. And moss water." Fox said, as Gray sat down. "Thanks, I think. Fox, we need to talk about something." Fox nodded. "Ok well, when the kittens are born, we can't go on traveling. I think we should stay here till they are, and then wait till they grow up a little more." Gray said. "But Gray! It's bad here! That's why I wanted you to bring Dance! Creamy might not want to leave, but I think Shadow does. He just doesn't want to leave Creamy. Don't you understand?" Gray took a deep breath. "Your right. I think we should keep moving. It IS bad here. Almost as bad back at my human place." She meowed.

So, yes, it's a little long.
Hope your all happy about what happened in the other book.

~Wolf Light

Rain dance (Chapter ten)

The next day was still rainy. It wasn't at all like the other night, but Gray felt grumpy when the rain drops hit her fur. When Fox and Gray were almost back to the forest where they had rested last night, Gray and Fox climbed a tree. But they didn't see cats moving around. "They must have left without us!" Fox meowed, panic in his voice. "But Star would never do that." Gray argued. "Lake would. And what if she.." Fox said, then Gray and Fox looked at each other, realizing what had happened. "STAR!" They shouted at the same time. They ran down the tree, and then ran to the cave place where they had been last night. "See? Not here. " Fox mewed. "Then Lake must have forced Star to leave. Before we left, I mean your old home, then I heard Snow say that I was in love with a orange tabby cat. Lake must have thought I was in love with Star, so she's gone nuts and want to get back at Star." Gray meowed quickly. "Wait. How did Snow KNOW your were in love with a orange tabby cat?" Fox asked. "It doesn't matter right now, we have to find Star and Lake and stop them!" Hissed Gray. "We can fallow them by their scents." Mewed Fox. "No, it just rained last night, stupid. All the scents must have gotten washed away." "Then how are we going to-" Started Fox, but then heard a hiss nearby from Star.

"Lake, what are you doing?! Stop it! I'm not in love with Gray! I'm not!" Star shouted, as Lake pulled him to a pond, then let go of him, tossing him in. "STAY THERE!" She screamed. Then she turned and got some very, unusual strong vines. She ran back and tied a vine to Star's paw. "What are you doing? Lake! Stop! STOP!" Star screeched, and tried again to get away. Lake then tied another, longer vine to Star, and tied it to a tree. Star was trapped.
"Come on Fox, run faster!" "I'm trying!" When the two cat found Star and Lake, Gray pounced on Lake. Lake scratched Gray, and Gray bit at Lake's ear. "Stop!" Yelled Fox. "Where's Dance?" He asked. "You guys are fools! YOUR ALL FOOLS!!!" Lake hissed, then, before any cat could stop her, she ran away. The rain was getting harder, and now Gray's fur was socked. She ran over to Star and started getting the knots undone. Finlay, Star was free. "Ok, um, we have to get away, as fast as we can. Forget about Lake." Star said. "And we have to find Dance." Added Fox. Gray, Star, and Fox, ran as fast as they could, still looking for Dance. Lighting crackled down, setting a tree on fire. Gray pressed her pelt assent Fox's. "There's Dance!" Star shouted, running over to the wet kitten. The storm was hitting Star already socked fur, and the fire was getting bigger. If they didn't get going, then it would be too big. Suddenly, a cats jumped from the bushes. It was Lake. Star stopped. "What? Why? How? Where?" Star stared at Lake. "STOP IT. Star." As Lake spoke, Gray shivered. "It's ok, Gray." Fox meowed. Then he jumped on to Lake. With a powerful blow, she knocked him away. "FOX! NO!" Gray screamed, running towards Fox. "Gray, get out of the way!" Star yelled at her. He ran over to them. Dance did too. "Look out that tree is goanna fall!" Star yelled. There was no time to move, and Lake, seeing what was happing, jumped in their way, pushing the other three cat out of the way. The tree fell, on to Lake with a thump. "LAKE!" Star tired to go over to Lake, but the fire got in his way. "Lake!"

"I'm sorry about Lake." Gray said, stepping in to the cave. "It's ok. I'm fine." Gray nodded. She gave her fur a lick, it was still wet from last night. "So, uh, you like Fox?" Star asked. Gray purred. "Yes, I like Fox. He wants to visit Creamy. Can we?" Star purred too. "Yep. You know, I think we should just go back to the other side, you know, where we used to live, and then go the other way." Gray nodded. "I'll go and get Dance and Fox. We can get going." Gray purred. Fox, Star, Gray, and Dance, walked down the hill in the shinning sun, hoping to find a peaceful home.
THE END.

That is the first book. "I just, I just have to stay with Gray. Protect her. And Dance. Please!" Lake hissed. "No way, bozo. We have to many cats as it is." She said. "Yes, you can come, Fox." Said Star, dipping his head.
The five cats were getting real tired, but mostly Dance. "Can we stop now?" She asked every five seconds. "Ok! Dance! Will someone please climb a tree and see how far it is to a resting spot?" Star asked. "I will!" Shouted Gray, running up to a tree, and climbing up it. When she got to the top, she could see really far. A nice little forest, with a cave and a small lake near by it, looked like a perfect spot to be. Lake could fish in the lake, the cave would be the best place to hide from rain, (Gray looked at the sky. It was dark and cloudy.) And those leaves and that moss would be nice bedding. Gray climbed down, then led the way towards the spot.

"I'm going to go," Said Fox that night. "What?! I thought that you were going to stay with us forever!" Shouted Gray. "Creamy needs me. And Snow. It was nice meeting you all, and Dance, take care of yourself ok? Thank you so much, Star. And Lake, even if you're the meanest cat I ever met, it was nice travelling with you. And Gray.." Fox's eyes were getting wider with saddens. He padded over to her. "I..I have never known a cat like you. You'll always be in my heart. Goodbye, Gray." Then he turned, and left back towards his home. When nobody was lessening, Gray whispered, "I love you, Fox. "
Suddenly, Gray jerked awake. She could not sleep. What if Fox ran in to the road? "That's it!" Gray yowled, not caring that she just woke up Lake and her brother. "FOX! WAIT!" She yelled, running as fast as she could, out of the cave, and the way that Fox had gone. "Fox! Wait up!" Then, she spotted him at the other side of the road. "FOX!" She dashed across the road, and then she was right beside the orange tabby tom. "Fox, I love you. I love you." Fox was both happy, scared, and shocked. "Why are you here?" He asked, his whole body shaking. "I love you! I don't care, were I have to go to be with you, but I will." Fox purred. "Then let's get back to Star and Lake." Rain came falling down, splattering the ground, hitting the cats fur. "No, we can get back there later, when it isn't raining." Purred Gray. The two cats found a little shelter.

~Wolf Light

Rain dance (Chapter eight)

"You know, I think your right." Said a voice behind her. Gray jumped, and span around, to see Fox, Creamy's brother, standing right beside her.
"You should take Dance with you. I mean it." Meowed Fox. Gray had nothing to say, but she was standing there with a blank face, so she just did something fast, and that might have been a huge mistake, for what she did was say, "Ok, I will.".
Then Fox picked up something from behind him. A fish! Gray almost yowled with delight.

"Here, you can have it." He said, dropping it at Gray's paws. "Thanks!" Then, Lake stepped in to the cave that Fox and Gray had been in. "Is that fish I smell?" She asked, then ran over to Gray and the fish. She took the fish out of Gray's mouth. "Yum!" Fox snarled. "I fished that FOR GRAY! Not you. Give it back. Star told me that your mean too Gray all the time. He told me everything." Lake dropped the fish. Gray's fur grew hot with embarrassment. Lake got up and left, without saying a word.

"Star, can we talk?" Asked Lake. "Nope." Said Star, but he got up anyway. The two of them got to a grassy area, alone. "Star, you know I was just joking around, with Gray. I knew all along that Gray is your sister." Meowed Lake. "Huh." Said Star. "I don't believe that, and never in one million years will. Sorry, Lake, but no. I hate you." Lake burst in to tears. "Why? We loved each other! We were going to have kittens! It was just a misunderstanding. I'm sorry, Ok? I'm sorry!" Yelled Lake. Star twitched his whiskers. "No, Lake. Just find another mate ok? I'm sorry about are love, but I can't. I just can't. Besides.." Star's voice trailed off. Lake stopped crying. "OK, then. If you don't want me here, with you and Gray. I'm going. Goodbye..For..Ever." Lake tired to yell, but it sounded just like the truth: She wanted to stay with Gray and Star, and this was breaking her heart that was already broken in the first place. "No, Lake. We'll do this tougher. Why can't we JUST be friends? " Lake stopped. "I..OK. But, if you promise that you will be nice to me, and not get mad?" "If you promise that you won't try to kill Gray."

~Wolf Light

Rain dance (Chapter seven )

When the three cats were all welcomed in to the small forest home, Gray had a mouse under her paws, but she hadn't eaten one bite. "So, this is Creamy, my mother, and Dance's mother. And I'm Snow, this is Shadow, our father. And that orange cat over there is Fox. He's Creamy's brother." Said the white cat. Star nodded. "I'm sorry about us breaking in to your home. I'm Star, this is Gray, my younger sister-" Star glared at Lake. "and this is Lake, my former mate." He finished. "Well, you can stay tonight if you want, and you can tell us why your here." Said Creamy. "Ok, well, we lived with humans a few days ago, but they were wrecking our home." Started Gray, before Star could start. "And our home got wrecked down. It was a store, and the shop keepers were real nice to us. They fed us, pet us, and at night, they would put us in a nice cozy bed, turn off the lights, and lock the door behind them." Said Star. Gray knew that these wild cats didn't want to know about how they were taking care of them. "Anyway, we had no choice." Said Lake. "That furball over there doesn't understand that." She said, pointing with her tail towards Gray. "I'm not a-" Started Gray, but then Creamy said, "Gray. Huh. A furball, she is. Well, well, if that true, then, Dance, get over here." A black and orange kitten about ten weeks old came over. "What Creamy?" Asked the kitten. "This young cat want to play with you." Said Creamy, flicking her tail towards Gray. "I don't want to play. I'm a cat now. I fight, and hunt." Said Dance, then trotted away. Gray was stunned. All these cats did was fight and hunt? "We'll live like this one day," Meowed Lake. "What? No, we won't. I want to live with humans." Said Gray. Lake hissed. "No! Don't you think that we can?" Lake meowed, trying to keep her voice steady. "No, we can't! This mouse is gross! I can't believe that these cats EAT this! And that poor kitten! I wish we could take her away, so she wouldn't have to live here, eating this..Food!" Gray spat. Creamy, Star, Snow, Fox, and even Lake started at her, with they mouths open. Gray ran away, as fast as she could.

~Wolf Light

Rain dance (Chapter six)

They came to a dark forest, and there was so many trees. Gray looked ahead, and saw a cat figure. It was staring right at her. Then, before she could say, "Mouse!", it came running towards her. And before she knew it, a cream she-cat with green eyes was touching noses with her. "Why are you here?" She demanded. Star drew back "Were just passing by." He meowed. The cats eyes flickered. "What do you mean? That white cat over there is hunting." The cat pointed with her tail to Lake. "Lake! What are you doing?!" Star yelled at her. Lake shrugged. "I'm hungry." The cream she-cat jumped on Lake, rolling her over and taking the killed mouse. Gray saw the mouse and started to get real sad; she hated to see mice killed. Star leaped in to the fight with Lake and cream cat, tiring to pull them away. After a few minutes of hissing, a black and orange kitten came out of the bushes, along with a black tom and a white she-cat. "Stop! Creamy, what are you doing?!" Yowled the black cat. "They were taking our food, Shadow, I think I can fight them." Creamy hissed back. "Mom, no! Let them stay! We were once chased here by dogs, and we were hungry too." Said the white cat, Gray saw that she was a lot younger then she looked.

~Wolf Light

Emma's true tale (Chapter one)

This tale is true.

Emma looked at the new house. It was ugly, for it had a pink roof top, a bright blue door, and the rest of it was brown. "Mom......Do I HAVE to go in there?" She was even less wanting to go in to the house. But her mother did not answer, just led them towards the ugly door. Then her mother opened it, and while she did, Emma exchanged a look with her sister, Abby. As soon as Emma walked in, her eyes died from looking at the ugly floor, the ugly sofa, the ugly stairs, the ugly table, and the ugly TV. Her eyes and brain hurt, but her heart fell apart. Why did Abby have to chose such a bad place to move to? every time the Wings had to move, they would take turns choosing the house. It had been Abby's turn. "Well Abby?" Asked her mother. "I....Love it. It's nice." No, it's not. Thought Emma, but did not say anything. "Emma? Do you like it?" Her mother's voice said: Don't be rude to Abby. It IS a nice house. "Well.....No." Emma had to admit. "You'll like it when you see your room." Her sisters look was full of happiness. Then Abby led Emma to her room. Before they opened the bedroom door, Abby said to close her eyes. Emma took a deep sigh, ready for her eyes to die yet again. She heard a door open, then Abby saying to open her eyes. It was the best room she had ever seen. It had light green curtains, and a dark green bed sheet. The rest of the bed was neon green, her favorite color. And then it had a yellow desk, and beside it was a green trash can. It had a blue river like carpet, and the best part was that it had a little tent that was like a tree trunk. The walls were a tree brown, and the pillows on her bed were the only thing in her room that were black. but not grayish black, pure death looking black. and Emma liked it. Her most favorite thing was nature, and more than ever, she wanted to save the world.

When Emma had token the last bite of her sandwich, slurped down the rest of her milk, and jumped out the back door, it had been the fifth time that day her mother said that she would make new friends. Emma hoped she was right, but so far, all she had made was a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich. Looking down the street, she saw a little girl with dark brown hair, and blue eyes, and a green shirt. Emma had blond hair, and envied the other girl. She walked down the street, and when she was in front of the girl she found it hard to say anything. And for the first time she had moved to the house, she felt shy. The other girl looked as if she wanted to do anything other than say hello. "Hi" Emma heard herself say. "My name is Emma." The girl blinked. "Oh. Sorry. I was just thinking about something. My name is Wendy. Hi." Emma saw now that the girls shirt said "Save the world" on it and it had a big world smiling. Then Wendy glanced around, and whispered in Emma's ear, "They are watching us." Emma didn't have the clearest idea of what Wendy meant. "What are you talking about? Who's watching us?" The little girl rolled her eyes. "You're as stupid as them." Who's them?! But before Emma could say anything else, Wendy slammed the door to a house, and Emma guessed it was hers. Emma slowly went back home. She was wondering about Wendy all night long.

When Emma woke, she had had the best dream ever. And she knew what Wendy wad talking about. She ran over to her closet, and picked out a green shirt, and some green jeans, and picked out a pair of shoes that were blue. She ran down stairs, but remembered that it was gross wall paper down in the dining room. "Never mind about food," Emma muttered under her breath. She jumped out the door, and ran across the road, not looking both ways. There was no time. She took a deep sigh, and knocked on Wendy's door. When Wendy opened the door, she said, "Oh, you. What do you want?" Emma gulped. "I know what you were talking about the other day. Camera people." Wendy looked at Emma for a second, then pulled her in to her house. "This is my house. Come with me." They went to a door, and went inside. Inside, it was just like Emma's room, but it had a bunk-bed, sleeping bags on the floor with little stuffed cats in them, and on the walls butterfly's. Not real ones. Wendy went to her desk, and she pulled out a paper. She handed it to Emma. "There. It's for my club. No one else is in it. I had to be sure which one was the one." Emma read the paper. It was green, and the words were black, and in ink. Name:
Age:
All you know about the Camera people:

Was what Emma read.

More soon-ish
~Wolf Light

Rain dance (Chapter five)

Gray licked her paw miserably. Her back was still sore from when the car had hit it. Star was asleep at her left side, while Lake was at her other side, closing her eyes, pretending to be asleep, but Gray knew she was wide awake. Was she planning a attack? Gray nudged Star awake, letting him know that they should get going.

Star got up to face the night. The moon was bright, and shinning on to Lake's white fur as if she was special. Gray was heading over to the lake; Star guessed to get a drink. As the three cats gathered to go, Star saw Lake looking at her paws. He hadn't talked to her since Gray got injured, and Lake seemed to be very sad and guilty; Star could feel it off of her pelt. Lake was not normally like this. It was why he had fallen in love with her in the first place. Star shock his head. "Star, are you coming, or are you going to just stay there forever?" Lake hissed at him. "Err, uh-huh. I'm coming." Star meowed, every hair on his pelt prickling with anger. Like Lake hadn't once been holding up him and Gray.

They came back to the road. "Ok, guys. This road is just a normal road, going across. We just have to run when all the cars stop. But the road over there-" Star meowed, pointing his tail to the other side- "Is a harder one. We have to go ON it. There's no other way, so we HAVE to be fast. Understand?" Lake and Gray nodded. "Ok then. When I say, Lake, then Lake, you run. When I say, Gray, Gray, you run. Got it?" Lake and Gray nodded again. "Lake, run!" Star shouted. Then when Lake had gone, Gray went, then Star. When all the cats went safely across, it was time for the harder road.

"Ok, this time we all go at the same time. Ready? GO!!" Star yelled, and the three cats dashed off. It was a road going up. Then, a car was about to hit Star. Star was frozen. He was to scared to move. Then, just before it DID hit him, Lake took him by his neck, and ran faster than any cat had ever ran before, back to where they had started. When Lake dropped Star, he got up and stared at Lake. "Why?.." Lake started. "Where's Gray?" Star asked, ignoring the fact that Lake had just saved his life. I hate her, and she just saved my life. Thought Star. I don't care. She will not listen when I tell her that Gray's my sister. Star told himself.

~Wolf Light

Rain dance (Chapter four)

"Lake, I want you to go away for now. Why don't you just find us some food or something?" Lake nodded and turned, seeing a lake up ahead. She could fish! Lake went over to the pond, and a fish jumped out of the water. She racked her claws in to the fish, and, with the fish still on her paw, took her paw back. Then, she bit the fish's neck. She saw another fish, jumping out of the water. Lake lunged herself towards the fish, but indent, she went flying in to the water. Suddenly, Lake had the memory of that night with Gray come back to her. It was a cool night, when she had found a gray patch of fur. She sniffed it; it smelled like Star, and some other cat. Then she saw a gray kitty in the moonlight. The cat keep on coming over to her, and coming, and coming. When the cat was just up beside Lake, she knew that the cat was going to steal her lost love, Star. Lake jumped on the gray cat. "What are you doing Lake?!" The cat shouted. "How do you know my name, why are you here, and why did you try to take my Star?" Lake yelled. She knew that the gray cat had been wanting Star. "I hate you!" Lake yelled. She dug her claws in to Grays belly. "But, I'm just Star's sister!" Lake twitched her ears. "Don't lie." She spat. Then she rolled over, digging her claws in to Grays fur. Then, Lake heard a cat in her memory. It was Star. "Gray! Lake!" He meowed, pleased at first, till he found out what Lake was doing. "This is over, Lake!" He had shouted, and then tossed her in to the little pond nearby. "You tried to kill my little sister!" Star yelled. Lake hissed. "She's not your sister, stop pretending! You know, I bet you guys just made this all up, so that you wouldn't have to break my heart, when you were going to say that you loved another cat. Well, too bad, It's already broken!"

Lake jumped with a start. She was back, in the forest, to find a home. Lake was still shaking from the memory. She picked up the fish, shacked off the water, and started back too Star and Gray. When she had gotten there, she had made up a plan to get Star to love her again. It was perfect. "Where have you been?" Star growled as she walked in. Lake guessed he was still upset about Gray. "I fell asleep." Lake meowed back. "And dog's purr," Muttered Gray from the back. Lake knew Gray was thinking that she had been coming up with a plan to hurt her. And she was wrong.

~Wolf Light

Pacth and Yellow (A short story)

A tree was all Patch could use to get away from the dog's snapping jaws. When she found some, it tasted of dirt and it was warm, but she drank it anyway. She needed food and shelter now. A house was her old home, but now she had been treated the way she had been, and she would never again dare go back to there. Now only if she could get this collar off.... Patch kicked with her hind leg on the red collar. It was still on, so she tried to bite it off. Then, she saw a nice home, at least for now. It was a small cave, and it looked cozy and warm.

Now, Patch was waking up to find a orange tom cat looking up at her. He had blue eyes, and Patch could feel herself falling on to his gaze. Then she stopped herself. She was in his home, most likely. "Am I in your home? I'm sorry!" Patch mewed, panic starting to rise up in her. "Nah, it's not really mine. I just need a nice place to rest." Said the tom, licking her paw, and rubbing it on his ear. "I'm Patch, pleased to meet you." Said Patch. The orange tabby cat smiled at her. "I'm Yellow. Nice to meet you too." Patch gulped. "Do you live with humans?" She asked. Yellow hissed. "Never! I hate them!" Patch nodded. "I do too. ?But then, what do you eat?" Yellow licked his tail, and replied, "Easy. Come on, I'll show you." He got up and started out of the cave.

When both cats were there, Patch saw a tall women feeding the cats that gathered around. Patch knew what the food was; it looked a lot like chicken, and it smelled wonderful. Without thinking, Patch ran over to the women and mewed like a kitten. The women looked down, and saw a black and white cat with a red collar on starring up at her. "Are you lost? Oh my..Let's see that collar." Said the human. Patch knew what was going to happen, so she ran back to Yellow as fast as she could.

When Patch had eaten and she and Yellow agreed to go to find a new home together, Patch knew she was in love with Yellow.
They walked and ran, walked and ran, till one day, they came across a pack of dog's. Then, Yellow was in a circle of dog's, just waiting to bite his ears off. Patch had to save him! She looked around wildly, till she just jumped on one of the dog's. "No, Patch! Just go! Now! RAN!" Yellow cried. "No! I'm not giving in!" Patch yelled back. The dog shock her off, then turned and racked his claws on Patch's fur. After having lots of new pains, Patch knew she had to do something else. She spotted a log: Not to heavy looking, and perfect to climb. She picked up the log in her jaws, and then a small stone, and set the log on the stone. Then she ran to the other side and jumped on it, making the side that was up go down. She then ran back to the other side and pushed on the log, making it go in to the dog's area. Yellow saw the log and ran up it. Then, Patch and Yellow ran and ran for what seemed like forever.

When they came to a stop, Yellow was panting, his eyes still wide with fear. "I'm so sorry! You could have gotten yourself killed back there." He gasped. "But I didn't, did I?" Patch meowed, licking her paw. "I have something to say," She said shutting her eyes. Yellow just blinked. "I...I love you. I want to have kittens together, and I want to be together. Please, Yellow, understand." Yellow looked at her for what seemed like forever, then said, "I love you to Patch." Is what he whispered.

Later:
Patch had three kittens, one black, one white, and one orange. The black one's name was Smokey, a girl. The white one was Snow, also a girl, and the orange one is a boy named Tiger. They found a nice little place to live, where a little girl feeds them, and a lake is nearby so they can get a drink. And they all lived happily ever after.
THE END.

~Wolf Light

Rain dance (Chapter three)

When the three cats were ready to go, Star lead the way, till they were out of the old home. They came to a big road. Gray was still upset about going; she saw the road and gulped up fear. "Are we going across that thingy?" She asked, her voice shaking. "Sorry. Yes, Gray. But you can just stay here! Bye!" Mewed Lake, and padded towards the road. "No! Wait for me!" Gray meowed back, racing for the road. "Nah, your much too little," Taunted Lake. "If you can run across, which you can't, then fine. But I DARE you to go across." Gray hissed and broke off in to running across the road. A big car was coming, along with a pack of like five more. "Gray, no!" Shouted Star, running to Gray. Just in time, he gaped Gray at the neck, dragging her back. When Star dropped Gray, who had been hit just a little by the car, Star glared at Lake. "you almost got her killed!" He shouted, turning around to lick at Gray's fur. "I told you to make up for what you had done, not to worse." Then he let out a gusty sigh and said, "Sometimes, I really don't like you at all." (Once Lake and Star had been mates, till they got spared apart by the humans. When they got back with each other, Star learned that Lake had tried to kill his little sister, Gray. "But I have friends here!" Star sighed. "What friends?" Gray felt as if her world was turning upside down. "I..I don't have any. I just made that up." Star looked at Gray with a hint of saddens. "I know how you feel." Gray turned around and left, her tail and head drooping. When Gray had gone, Lake came back. "You were mean to Gray, Lake. Star got up, and dipped his head to the she-cat. "Greetings, Gray. It's good to see you." Lake meowed in agreement. "It's good to see you too, Star, Lake." Gray replied. Lake padded up to Star. "I don't know about her.." She whispered in his ear. Gray sat down too lick herself. "Come on, Gray is my sister. Besides, if we go without her, then we will not know which way to go." Then, more loudly, he said, "Okay, Gray, lead the way." Gray had been licking her chest. She paused to say," I don't even know what you want me for." Star's orange fur glowed in the moon light. He sighed, and said, "We are going to go in to the wild. And we are going to live there." Gray's ears went flat on her head. "Why?!" She hissed. "We can't live here anymore. The people are going to ruin life here. The wild will be the best place for us." "What will we eat? Where will we go? There are no forests near, and no way am I going to walk all that way just for-" "SHUT UP GRAY." Lakes fur was fluffed up, as she hissed the words.
